This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of the VigilPath platform and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Breach may lead to suspension or termination of access without notice.

1. Permitted use

  • Lawful financial-crime investigation, SAR drafting and regulatory reporting.
  • Internal audit, quality assurance and training of authorised investigators.

2. Prohibited conduct

  • Tipping-off a person under investigation, contrary to s.333A POCA 2002.
  • Uploading material you have no lawful basis to process.
  • Attempting to bypass tenant isolation or access other customers' data.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping at scale, or probing the platform for vulnerabilities outside our Responsible Disclosure programme.
  • Using the platform to harass, profile or discriminate against any individual.
  • Using outputs of the platform as the sole basis for an adverse decision against a customer without human investigator review.
  • Submitting malware, illegal content, or content infringing third-party rights.
  • Sharing credentials; every user must have an individual named account.

3. Fair use and rate limits

API and export endpoints are rate-limited to protect platform availability. Sustained use materially above your subscription tier may be throttled; contact your account manager to upgrade if required.

4. Responsible disclosure

Report suspected security issues to security@vigilpath.co.uk. We commit to acknowledge within 2 business days and will not pursue legal action against good-faith researchers who follow our disclosure guidelines.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches, preserve evidence, suspend offending accounts and, where required, report to law-enforcement or your regulator.
